Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro Max is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about smartphones of 2026 \u2014 and not just for its features. According to multiple reports, it could also be one of the most expensive iPhones Apple has ever released.<\/p>\n

None of this has been confirmed by Apple. But the reports are specific enough that they are worth paying attention to.<\/p>\n

What are the price predictions?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reports suggest that research firm IDC has estimated that the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could be priced up to $200 (approximately \u20b916,700) higher than the current generation. That would put the iPhone 18 Pro Max’s starting price at around $1,399 (approximately \u20b91,16,800) \u2014 a significant jump from where it stands today.<\/p>\n

According to reports, TSMC has told Apple that 2nm chip production will cost at least 50 per cent more than 3-nanometer chips, owing to the complexity of the manufacturing process and the equipment involved.<\/p>\n

Those costs, analysts believe, are likely to be passed on to the consumer at least in part.<\/p>\n
