So I bought the Murena Fairphone 6 with the idea that this would be a device I could preserve for many years to come. Then, out of the blue, this dream came to an end.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"my-fairphone-gen-6-can-no-longer-charge\">\n                        My Fairphone (Gen 6) can no longer charge<br \/>\n               <\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"this-is-not-the-way-i-expected-my-phone-to-break\">\n            This is not the way I expected my phone to break<br \/>\n    <\/h3>\n<p>The Fairphone (Gen 6) has nearly a dozen components that are user replaceable. I can swap out the battery, the camera lenses, the speakers, the USB port, and even the microphone. I&#8217;ve taken some of these parts out and put them back in myself. It&#8217;s a satisfying feeling.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, there are many parts of the Fairphone that can&#8217;t be easily repaired, despite its perfect iFixit score. If you drop the phone and damage the frame, that&#8217;s not something you can swap out.
