When asked by host Donwill which artist he&#8217;d choose to turn one of the ringtone compositions into a full song, Flying Lotus admitted he&#8217;d never actually considered the question before.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Freddie Gibbs would go hard on that,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Donwill specifically pointed to &#8220;Daybreak,&#8221; asking Flying Lotus to imagine who he&#8217;d want to hear on the record if it ever evolved beyond a ringtone.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No one would ever ask me that,&#8221; Flying Lotus replied. &#8220;So I&#8217;m caught way off guard.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After thinking about it, he landed on Gibbs.<\/p>\n<p>While the collaboration remains hypothetical, the pairing isn&#8217;t hard to imagine.
