Ukraine has gained official access to the EU Cybersecurity Reserve, which will allow it to engage top European specialists to repel threats during large-scale hacker attacks. This was reported\u00a0by the Ministry of Digital Transformation, UNN reports.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine is strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure together with European partners. From now on, we have official access to the EU Cybersecurity Reserve. This means that during large-scale hacker attacks, the state will be able to engage the best European specialists to repel threats. In the spring, the Verkhovna Rada ratified this agreement – now all legal procedures have been completed by the EU, and the emergency cyber support mechanism has officially started working,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n

As the Ministry of Digital Transformation explained, the initiative was created within the framework of the EU Cyber Solidarity Act, and it is administered by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).<\/p>\n

The main advantage of the tool is that Ukraine gains direct access to the services of verified private companies specializing in cybersecurity.<\/p>\n

“If the enemy seriously attacks state information systems, websites, power grids or other critical infrastructure, Ukraine will be able to send a request and engage European experts,” the ministry noted.<\/p>\n
