Filipino citizens may\u00a0soon be able to simply speak or text in their local languages to access government services like registering a business, checking health centre\u00a0schedules\u00a0and applying for disaster relief\u00a0assistance.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This is what the country\u2019s Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) envisions,\u00a0as it plans to\u00a0integrate artificial intelligence (AI) agents across its eGovernment digital platforms, including its\u00a0mobile\u00a0superapp\u00a0and digital ID.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

DICT and Google Cloud announced today that they are deepening their existing partnership to weave\u00a0Google\u2019s\u00a0enterprise AI\u00a0solutions\u00a0into public service delivery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

DICT\u2019s Secretary Henry Rhoel\u00a0Aguda shared\u00a0in an official statement\u00a0that transformation goes beyond simply adopting new AI\u00a0tools, but\u00a0drives\u00a0systemic efficiency across public agencies\u00a0and\u00a0provides easier\u00a0access to government\u2019s digital services.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAI-driven systems, proactive cyber\u00a0defence, and network infrastructure operate in tandem to provide every citizen with access to public services and high-speed connectivity within a secure online environment,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Agentic AI access for\u00a0Filipino\u00a0public officers\u00a0<\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Filipino public officers\u00a0could\u00a0access Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace through the\u00a0government\u2019s e-procurement system,\u00a0eMarketplace.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Launched in the first quarter of 2026,\u00a0eMarketplace\u00a0was also built on Google Cloud\u2019s infrastructure and is owned by the Procurement\u00a0Service-Department\u00a0of Budget and Management (PS-DBM).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

To help officers respond more quickly to citizens’ needs, DICT\u00a0plans to\u00a0roll out the Gemini Enterprise app, which is the user interface and \u201cfront door\u201d of Gemini Enterprise, to more than 50,000 public officers.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

This would allow them to build and deploy AI agents within a single, fully governed environment.\u00a0<\/p>\n
