Earlier this week, we called on our Pixel-owning readers to share their thoughts on the newly released Android 17<\/strong> update. They didn\u2019t disappoint. <\/p>\n

We are happy to report that quite a few owners claim they are seeing improved battery life following the upgrade to Android 17. Naturally, there is also a number of users who claim to not notice any major improvements or changes, even though there is a full changelog not only for Android 17, but June\u2019s Pixel Feature Drop. <\/p>\n

Below is a compilation of a few comments we received across our channels. If you missed the call to action, feel free to use this post to share your thoughts. We would still very much like to see them. <\/p>\n

Android 17 Update Reactions<\/h2>\n

buffal066 \u2013 \u201cUpdated Tuesday. Last night (Wed night) was probably the first night in weeks that I didn\u2019t go to bed on battery saver. Totally anecdotal at this point, but hoping battery life is indeed better. That\u2019s my only complaint over the past few weeks, everything else was great and seems to still be in the up and up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sajid Iftikhar \u2013 \u201cSmooth and fast now. Little improvement in battery life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Timothy Chace \u2013 \u201cNothing burger. I remember when it used to matter with an OS upgrade.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steve \u2013 \u201cFinally. The freeze doom loop has ceased on my Pixel 8 Pro. It was a nightmare for about 3 weeks. Actually bought a backup Galaxy phone at Walmart. It was sheer torture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jeffrey \u2013 \u201cThis update, for me, is more lip gloss. Many of the new AI features are not available on my Pixel 8 Pro. I get that there may be hardware restrictions. I do like the app bubbles, but the only thing I was waiting for is AirDrop compatibility which in now on the Pixel 8a, but not on my Pixel…<\/p>\n
