Following its initial rollout on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 back in April, The Pok\u00e9mon Company has officially launched Pok\u00e9mon Champions on iOS and Android devices.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The standalone, battle-focused title is now available to download from the App Store for iPhone and iPad. Because the game features full cross-platform play out of the box, iOS and Android users can dive right into competitive matchups seamlessly against players on Nintendo Switch hardware.<\/p>\n

Unlike mainline entries in the franchise, Pok\u00e9mon Champions skips the usual open-world exploration, gym badges, and story filler. Instead, it acts as a streamlined arena built specifically for the Video Game Championships (VGC) circuit. In fact, it is slated to become the official competitive software utilized for the Pok\u00e9mon World Championships.<\/p>\n

The game uses standard turn-based battle mechanics like typing, movesets, and team synergy, but structures them around a \u201cfree-to-start\u201d competitive model. Players dress their customizable trainers in a new device called an Omni Ring, which serves as the core mechanic for triggering Mega Evolution.<\/p>\n

There are three primary matchmaking choices available: Ranked Battles, Casual Battles, and Private Battles. Players can test their skills in either the traditional Single Battle setup or the standard VGC Double Battle format.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the expansion to mobile screens, a special global in-game campaign has kicked off for all players on both mobile and console versions. From now until September 2, 2026, anyone who logs into the game and opens their in-game mailbox will receive a free Raichu. Along with the classic Electric-type, the package includes two exclusive brand-new items: Raichunite X and Raichunite Y.<\/p>\n

The launch coincides directly with a brand-new competitive season utilizing Regulation Set M-B. This set introduces several newly discovered forms originally seen in Pok\u00e9mon Legends: Z-A, including Mega Feraligatr, Mega Meganium, and Mega Emboar.<\/p>\n
