authority said on Wednesday it had \u200bfined the Emirates airline \u20ac180,000 ($208,890) for the \u200callegedly unfair handling of health data of passengers with reduced mobility.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"article-list-module__unordered__aLEL9 article-list-module__disc__XcBxE article-body-module__paragraph__Ts-yF article-body-module__list__G8QPC\" role=\"list\" data-testid=\"unordered-0\">\n<li>\n<p>The case stemmed \u200bfrom a complaint by a \u200bpassenger who said Emirates had made \u2060her fill in a medical \u200bform even though she was not \u200bamong the categories required to submit such documentation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Italian regulator found that the processing \u200bof health data itself was \u200blawful as necessary to guarantee safe transport and \u200cassistance, \u2060but identified breaches on transparency and data storage limits.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The authority said Emirates failed to provide sufficiently clear \u200band complete \u200bprivacy information, \u2060either on its website or through staff assisting \u200bpassengers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>It also found that the \u200bairline \u2060retained health data collected via medical forms for seven years, which it \u2060considered \u200bexcessive and disproportionate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Emirates was \u200bnot immediately available for
