The scope covers safety-critical railway systems including signaling, train control, rolling stock and power supply, as well as supporting electromechanical and digital systems, reflecting the convergence of safety, security and operations in modern railways.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Under terms of the exclusive contract, DNV\u2019s rail assurance, advisory and digital services team, in collaboration with engineering company EQP, will support the government-owned Trust for the Development of the Mass Transit System of the Dominican Republic (FITRAM) with proactive cyber risk management services for the monorail, the first of its kind in the Caribbean.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Recently integrated into DNV\u2019s new Industrial Services business unit, the rail team supports customers to safely manage critical assets and address transformations in the railway sector, strengthening systems against evolving digital threats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">Designed to ease travel congestion for Santiago de los Caballeros\u2019 population and reduce urban commute costs by 30%, the under-construction monorail will cover a length of more than 13km with 14 overground stations located across the city.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"en-US\">DNV\u2019s cybersecurity services will ensure the monorail system aligns with national and international cyber regulations and industry best practices.
