An iPhone owner has gone viral after sharing an unexpectedly glowing review of Apple’s latest AI-powered Siri upgrade.<\/p>\n

Posting on Reddit, user KnockoutKOD explained that they had been surprised to find that Siri AI\u2014the new AI-infused version of Apple’s famous voice assistant, which will be released with the updated operating system iOS 27 later this year\u2014was “actually pretty good.”<\/p>\n

“Tested it with some trip planning and ideas, shortcut creation, and personal context (photos of a nephew through the years as they grew up),” the original poster (OP) wrote. “All performed pretty damn well.<\/p>\n

“It’s pretty similar to Gemini, and after reading Apple’s more detailed explanations, it seems they borrowed a lot of overall capability from Google without just copying the models directly.”<\/p>\n

There’s just one major problem, which the comments section quickly pointed out.<\/p>\n

“Too bad I am in Europe and can’t use it,” one commenter posted, while another added, “Me crying in EU.”<\/p>\n

According to Apple’s press release advertising Siri AI, the company wrote that while Mac and Apple Vision Pro users will have access to Siri AI, it will “not be available initially in the EU in iOS, iPadOS and watchOS.”<\/p>\n

“Apple is working hard to find a path forward that preserves its users’ privacy and security,” the release added.<\/p>\n

Siri AI and other new Apple Intelligence features will also not be available in China due to regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n

‘A huge upgrade’<\/h2>\n

Commenters were quick to share their thoughts, with one Reddit user pointing out that it’s a bit confusing that Apple is holding off on “advanced models” for Air and Pro models, especially “considering the base model 17 is also ‘built for AI,’ according to their own…<\/p>\n
