Hoboken, N.J.<\/strong> \u2013 The Stevens Institute of Technology Department of Athletics capped the 2025-26 academic year with a 34th-place finish in the LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, marking the Ducks’ fourth consecutive top-36 national finish.<\/p>\n

Stevens accumulated 498 points across NCAA Championship competition during the year, leading all institutions in the Middle Atlantic Conference and ranking third among colleges and universities in New Jersey.<\/p>\n

After earning 125 points during the fall and 82 points in the winter, the Ducks surged in the spring with 291 points. Men’s lacrosse paced all Stevens programs with 64 points, while women’s lacrosse, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis each contributed 50 points. Men’s volleyball added 45 points, and men’s golf chipped in 32 points as part of the department’s strong spring showing.<\/p>\n

The successful year also included 13 MAC and MAC Freedom team championships, while Stevens student-athletes claimed a conference-best 10 MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete awards.<\/p>\n

The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup, developed through a partnership between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, measures overall athletic department success based on NCAA Championship performances. Institutions can score in up to 18 sports, including mandatory scoring in men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s soccer.
