Engineius has launched Engineius DataClear, a data privacy service powered by Privacy4Cars. The service offers to delete in-vehicle personal data for its customers.<\/p>\n

The solution will be available to Engineius customers through its network of 600 drivers and transport agents. Once data is deleted, a certificate will be generated, providing customers with an auditable record of compliance.<\/p>\n

Phill Jones, CEO Engineius, said: \u201cWe are delighted to be partnering with Privacy4Cars to offer our customers this crucial service.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeleting a vehicle\u2019s data during Engineius\u2019 vehicle movement process ensures clients protect their business from the risk of exposing personal and customer data, and to comply with GDPR as required in the remarketing process.\u201d<\/p>\n

Personal data retained on vehicles represents a significant GDPR risk for fleets, lenders and insurers.<\/p>\n

Research by Privacy4Cars found that personal data is regularly left in vehicles, making it the largest unreported potential for GDPR data breaches.<\/p>\n
