The\u00a0Onyx BOOX Go 6 (Gen II)<\/strong> is an eBook reader with a 6 inch, 1448 x 1072 pixel E Ink display featuring 300 pixels per inch, a glass cover, capacitive touch input, and a front light with support for brightness and color temperature adjustments.<\/p>\n

I could have said the same about original BOOX Go 6, which launched a few years ago. And most other key specs remain unchanged for the new model. But there are a few key upgrades: the new model has 50% more memory and adds support for an optional InkSense Plus stylus, allowing you to use the BOOX Go 6 (Gen II) as both an eReader and an E Ink tablet for taking notes. The new model is available for pre-order now for $200 and it\u2019s expected to start shipping June 16.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Features that haven\u2019t changed include the device\u2019s Qualcomm octa-core processor with support for frequencies up to 2GHz, 32GB of built-in storage, 1500 mAh battery, support for dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, and a microSD card reader and USB Type-C OTG port.<\/p>\n

And like its predecessor, the Onyx BOOX Go 6 (Gen II) ships with an operating system based on Android 11, which is a little disappointing at a time when Android 17 is scheduled for release soon. But it\u2019s worth keeping in mind that this device isn\u2019t really meant for use as a general purpose Android tablet. It has a heavily customized user interface designed to put reading and writing front and center while accommodating the black and white E Ink display with a slow screen refresh rate.<\/p>\n
