Something exciting is coming for iPhone users, and it\u2019s about Siri. <\/p>\n

Remember Siri? It\u2019s a tool iPhone users might not use all that often because it doesn\u2019t always get things right. <\/p>\n

Well, this upgrade might put a stop to that. <\/p>\n

Apple unveiled its biggest overhaul of Siri since the assistant\u2019s 2011 debut at the company\u2019s Worldwide Developers Conference on Monday.<\/p>\n

The overhaul includes a new standalone Siri app called Siri AI, which positions Apple as a contender in the AI space. <\/p>\n

According to Craig Federighi, Apple\u2019s senior vice president of software engineering, the new version of Siri \u201cis more intelligent, knowledgeable and capable.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cSiri is now a profoundly more capable assistant that helps you find what you need and gets more done,\u201d said Mike Rockwell, VP of Siri Engineering. \u201cIt\u2019s also more conversational, so you can go back and forth like never before and get detailed, engaging answers. As you have these rich conversations, you can refer back to them with a new dedicated Siri app.\u201d<\/p>\n

Siri\u2019s voice could also be adjusted for \u201cexpressivity and pace,\u201d Rockwell said. However, this will only be available in English initially. <\/p>\n

So, here\u2019s how the new Siri AI will work. <\/p>\n

Siri AI will privately sync your conversational history to your iCloud, allowing you to start a conversation with Siri on your phone, iPad or Mac. <\/p>\n

The new AI is also coming to watchOS, so users can ask questions directly on their Apple Watch. The Siri app will also be available on the watch. <\/p>\n

Additionally, the new AI will be accessible through the device\u2019s camera, allowing users to ask what is in a photo they are looking at or to take a picture of a restaurant check to split the payment. <\/p>\n

The updates will extend to CarPlay as well as Apple\u2019s Airpods. <\/p>\n

Users can access Siri by swiping down from the Dynamic Island at the top of the iPhone\u2019s screen and by invoking it from Spotlight on Mac. <\/p>\n
