The  initiative, partnered with the McElhattan Foundation, aims to scale practical  solutions for serious occupational hazards.<\/p>\n<p>Fatigue drastically impairs worker judgment and reaction  times. According to council data, employees working night shifts face a 30%  higher risk of injury than those on day shifts, while 12-hour shifts boost  injury risks by nearly 40%.<\/p>\n<p>Grant recipients will partner with technology providers from  the 2026 Work to Zero Safety Innovation Challenge to deploy data-tracking  systems.<\/p>\n<p>Critical Ops LLC will pilot Design Interactive\u2019s Greenlight  platform to evaluate how smartphone and wearable analytics track workforce  readiness and fatigue in critical infrastructure settings.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome Nursing Home, alongside Critical Ops LLC, will test  SmartTec Inc.\u2019s Okaya readiness monitoring system. The technology will assess  fatigue risks across skilled nursing facilities and unmanned aircraft  operations.<\/p>\n<p>Engineering professional services firm WSP will launch two  separate pilots. The company will deploy M\u0101kuSafe\u2019s real-time monitoring  technology to identify physical, environmental and cognitive strain indicators  among field personnel.
