The only portions that will vary between departments will be evacuation maps and procedures at the different buildings.

“As we move additional departments over to the annex building, we can adjust those map pages and evacuation plans,” Wirkner said.

Wirkner also addressed a memo regarding emergency management requirements at the annex building. After reviewing guidance with Emergency Management Agency Director Tom Cottis, he said some previously discussed security features, including bulletproof windows, are recommendations rather than requirements.

“The only thing that we could find was that there were some FEMA recommendations, but there were no requirements for some of the things that we’re hearing, such as the bulletproof windows,” Wirkner said.

He added that plans remain in place to relocate the county’s emergency generator and fuel tank to the annex building, with the work awaiting contractor scheduling. The current EMA offices are expected to be vacated…

Source

Carroll County commissioners update annex emergency plans, add cybersecurity procedures https://www.yourohionews.com/carroll-county/carroll-commissioners-discuss-cybersecurity-planning-for-annex-building/1046200 Publish Date: 2026-06-08 14:11:00…

https://image.yourohionews.com/1046215.jpg?imageId=1046215&x=0&y=0&cropw=100&croph=100&panox=0&panoy=0&panow=100&panoh=100&width=1200&height=683
[15
57
post-267606","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-cybersecurity","tag-security
