Apple may not be the world’s most valuable company at the moment \u2014 that’s Nvidia \u2014 but it is still by far the world’s most scrutinized. <\/p>\n

Thanks to a robust set of supply-chain leakers revealing every aspect of new Apple products before they arrive (catch up on the latest iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 rumors and leaks), an Apple launch event can often lack surprises. And in a normal year, Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers’ Conference (WWDC) is no exception.<\/p>\n

But WWDC 2026 is not a normal year, and an unusual air of mystery still clings to the keynote. That’s not just because we expect the AI version of Siri to make its debut, but also because we don’t know whether Tim Cook, in his last WWDC as CEO, will pass the baton to CEO-in-waiting John Ternus during the event. <\/p>\n

Will Ternus get on-the-job training, keynoting side-by-side with Cook? Or will he take a lesser role, like he did introducing the iPhone Air last September? <\/p>\n

Beyond that mystery, here are our three big burning questions for the Apple WWDC keynote, which kicks off at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, June 8, 2026. <\/p>\n

The last we heard about the iPhone Fold, Apple’s late-to-the-party entry into the foldable smartphone market, its official launch date had been pushed back, likely until the holiday season. Given a global memory chip shortage, analysts have warned that the company may not have enough supply to satisfy demand until 2027.<\/p>\n

Still, iPhone Fold prototypes exist (or iPhone Ultra, if one report is to be believed \u2014 the dueling names being just one example of Apple exerting an unusual amount of lockdown). Cook may reason that it…<\/p>\n
