Officially, this is the \u201cfirst of many improvements to come.\u201d Version 5.01 is not yet widely available on Android or iOS. This joins the roadmap Google shared last week and has been updating.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The upgrades and updates are grouped into four categories:<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nutrition Upgrades<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\t<span class=\"outbrain-ad-label\">Advertisement &#8211; scroll for more content<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Custom Foods<\/strong>: You can now view and log previously-created custom foods. Adding new custom foods is coming soon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Macronutrient Goal Guidance<\/strong>: Added explanations and guidance for setting macronutrient goals.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Third-Party Food Log Improvements<\/strong>:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fixed issue where some meal logs from MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, and LoseIt via Apple Health were labeled as \u201cOther\u201d meal type, instead of the correct type.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Improved handling of meal logs received from the same third-party app when that app is connected to Health Connect and to Google Health directly.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Added default food names when logs from Apple Health do not have a name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>More Controls when Logging on iOS<\/strong>: Made it easier to switch between measurement units when logging meal items from search results.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chart Improvements<\/strong>: Nutrition and calories charts are now more consistent across the Today, Health, and nutrition deep dive views.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fitness and Activity Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Corrected Workout Labels<\/strong>: Fixed issue where some runs were labeled as other types of workouts.
