ELLSWORTH \u2014 The Ellsworth Public Library invites community members to attend the monthly Discover Together Tuesday program at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at the Ellsworth Senior Center, located within English Lutheran Church, 229 W. Main St., Ellsworth.<\/p>\n

Featured speaker Tim Nyberg, owner of The MacGuys+, an IT and security consulting company, will present \u201cCybersecurity: 5 Things You Can Do Right Now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Technology scams, weak passwords, suspicious emails, and online fraud are becoming increasingly common\u2014and increasingly convincing. In this practical and easy-to-follow presentation, Nyberg will share five simple steps individuals can take immediately to better protect their personal information, devices, and online privacy.<\/p>\n

Topics will include email safety, stronger passwords, two-factor authentication, scam awareness, data backups, and safe computing habits. Designed for everyday computer users, the presentation will feature real-world examples and plain-English explanations rather than technical jargon.<\/p>\n

Nyberg has more than 25 years of experience in technology and business consulting, working with home users, executives, professionals, and small businesses throughout the region. He holds an MBA and has academic backgrounds in business administration, technology, networking, and communications.<\/p>\n

In addition to his consulting work, Nyberg served nearly 10 years as a volunteer mentor and business coach with the organization SCORE, helping entrepreneurs and small business owners navigate technology, operations, and business challenges.<\/p>\n

Known for his approachable teaching style, Nyberg enjoys helping people make sense of technology through practical advice and easy-to-understand explanations.<\/p>\n
