A new IDC report (via TechCrunch) offers a glimpse into MacBook Neo sales in its first few weeks compared to the also-new M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models.<\/p>\n

MacBook Air has long been the bestselling Apple laptop, but its reign may be over soon.<\/p>\n

Per a new IDC report tracking sales in the first quarter of 2026, we have our first solid numbers comparing MacBook Neo to the M5 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro\u2014all of which went on sale March 11.<\/p>\n

TechCrunch reports:<\/p>\n

Apple shipped 1.1 million MacBook Neo units in the quarter ended March, according to data from market intelligence provider IDC, shared with TechCrunch, ahead of the recent MacBook Air (M5) and MacBook Pro (M5) launches. Those MacBooks shipped over 900,000 and 550,000 units, respectively, in their debut quarters.<\/p>\n
