A big reason for that is the clever Privacy Display feature.

Samsung’s 2026 Ultra flagship is the first phone to use this technology and, so far, the only one. Yesterday, Samsung Brazil reminded fans of that achievement through a spooky new ad.

The video ad highlights the privacy risks associated with shoulder surfing, but one thing that caught our attention is how sparingly it uses AI-generated imagery.

Samsung arguably leaned too heavily on AI-generated visuals in some of its recent ad campaigns, but this Privacy Display commercial feels far more grounded and human by comparison.

Sure, the floating eyeballs are clearly CGI, but compared to some Samsung ads from the past year that leaned heavily on AI-generated visuals, this one strikes a better balance between real footage and synthetic effects. It arguably reflects the company’s creative spirit more naturally. Check it out below.

In case you missed it, Privacy Display lets Galaxy S26 Ultra users limit screen visibility when viewed from an angle, helping prevent strangers from peering into their phones.

The feature works exactly as advertised and isn’t some software trick. It’s a hardware-based solution that relies on a special sub-pixel arrangement built into the display. And no amount of One UI updates can break the exclusivity presently enjoyed by the S26 Ultra.

Samsung Display developed the technology under the name Flex Magic Pixel, but so far, Samsung’s mobile division is the only one using it in a commercial device. That gives the Galaxy S26 Ultra a unique advantage, not only over other Galaxy phones but also competing smartphone brands.

But if you’re not a fan of the S26 Ultra, nobody knows which Samsung phone will get Privacy Display next. Current rumors suggest Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z…

Source

Samsung’s creepy Galaxy S26 Ultra ad taps into a real privacy nightmare https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-creepy-galaxy-s26-ultra-ad-taps-into-a-real-privacy-nightmare/ Publish Date:…

[16

post-258535","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-privacy
