As part of the Neural Expressive redesign, Gemini Live on Android can now access more first- and third-party \u201cConnected Apps.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week\u2019s update lets you \u201cseamlessly switch from typing a quick question to diving deep into a free-flowing conversation \u2014 and back again \u2014 without missing a beat.\u201d Gemini Live is directly integrated into the text chat experience with a new floating interface.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Previously, Gemini Live only integrated with Google Calendar, Tasks, Keep, and Maps, as well as third-party equivalents from Samsung, Honor, OnePlus, Oppo, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The first-party list now includes Home, Hotels, Flights, Workspace, Image generation, Shopping, Utilities, YouTube, and YouTube Music, while there\u2019s also Spotify support.<\/p>\n

This is the same list of services you\u2019ll find on gemini.google.com\/apps. Notably, Utilities on Android unlocks timers and alarms. Gemini Live is now nearly on par with the Gemini app, specifically the overlay.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One exception is the ability to send Messages using Gemini Live, which was a capability Google first mentioned as coming during Made by Google 2024.\u00a0<\/p>\n
