The LAMTTO RC32 sports an 11 inch display and runs either Android Auto or Apple\u2019s Carplay. If it did just that it would be useful, but it\u2019s also its own Android device and can download and run apps from the Play Store and function entirely on its own, only limited by internet connection. It also has a child view\/backup\/whatever you want camera.<\/p>\n

I have had the LAMTTO RC32 in various spots in my car the past month trying to figure out what works for me as there is no perfect space in a 2013 Honda Odyssey that I can find, but I\u2019m 3d printing some mounts and I\u2019ll show off the pictures of where it finally lands when I get it positioned right where I want it.<\/p>\n

It comes with both tape and suction cup connectors meaning you can stick it just about anywhere, and if there weren\u2019t a valuable display screen pretty much everywhere in my car this wouldn\u2019t be a factor. Unfortunatly Honda in 2013 put a screen controller mid, the back up and side view cam high. Oh well \u2013 we\u2019ll see if I can come up with better but it\u2019s working fine now.<\/p>\n

The first thing to note is that as an Android Auto device it works perfectly on its own without the need for much setup although you are going to want to give yourself a few minutes with your mobile hotspot running in a decent connection area as the unit shipped with an older firmware (for me at least,) and the new one resolved some problems I didn\u2019t know I had.<\/p>\n

As an Apple CarPlay device, I can\u2019t review it. Sorry. No Apple devices built this decade on me.<\/p>\n

It allows a split screen design, or a single wide display depending on how you want it.<\/p>\n

As it\u2019s an Android device on its own, you can install a different mapping software if you want, you can install home automation apps so you can set your thermostat so it\u2019s just the right temp when you arrive, you can view your home cameras and talk to someone on your doorbell while you\u2019re parked, or you can…<\/p>\n
