PAUL, MN\u2014The new Adhesive Mix Monitor from 3M provides real-time feedback on mix quality when dispensing two-part structural adhesives.<\/p>\n<p>The system integrates with meter-mix equipment and consists of a disposable sensor and a small processing unit. The sensor collects measurements after the adhesive is mixed, but before it\u2019s dispensed onto parts. It converts measurements into data and displays alerts on the processing unit or streams them to another device\u2014giving engineers real-time feedback on the dispensing process wherever they are located.<\/p>\n<p>The system provides real-time data about mix quality, temperature, time, and error events.
