Also, Linea is now part of the foundation\u2019s governance structure. Linea Consortium is a non-profit uniting leading Ethereum ecosystem institutions, formed to guide Linea&#8217;s ecosystem growth and decentralization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the move, the Linea ZK rollup stack is being transferred into the foundation and renamed Lineth. The stack behind Linea is a full EVM-equivalent ZK rollup used in production. It includes execution and consensus layers, a prover, a coordinator, and smart contracts across L1 and L2. The execution layer is based on Besu, originally developed by Consensys and contributed to open-source ecosystems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Declan Fox from Linea Consortium will join the governing board of the foundation.
