Your phone<\/strong> dying on you, as in completely giving out, is not only annoying but costly<\/strong>. It\u2019s only made worse if the many photos and memorie<\/strong>s you have on there get lost in the ether, too.<\/p>\n

One woman had to go through this recently with her iPhone<\/strong>, and the Apple Store<\/strong> wasn\u2019t much help. To make matters worse, her tech made a comment that stuck with her, and not for a good reason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Things Get Weird At The Apple Store<\/h2>\n

In a TikTok, Merisa Jernigan (@heymerisa) said her iPhone 15 Plus suddenly blacked out while she was scrolling on the couch. There was no warning, no low battery alert; it was just gone, and she couldn\u2019t get it to turn back on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had the weirdest experience at the Apple Store,\u201d she shares in the text overlay.<\/p>\n

She made an appointment and rushed out the door in a panic, crying, convinced her photos and videos were gone forever. She gets to the store, links up with an Apple Genius, and immediately gets a comment about her driver\u2019s license photo.<\/p>\n

The tech takes one look at it, then at her, and says, \u201cOh wow, people really get done up for their driver\u2019s license photos.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, excuse me, sorry, like I normally don\u2019t look this bad. Like I\u2019m obviously upset, I\u2019ve been crying,\u201d she points out.<\/p>\n

They Couldn\u2019t Do Anything<\/h2>\n

The employee couldn\u2019t fix the phone. He did, however, find her a replacement in pink like her current phone. But when she got to checkout, she noticed the color wasn\u2019t quite right.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really sorry, but no,\u201d she says. \u201cThat is neon magenta. That is not baby dainty pastel whimsical pink that I had before.\u201d<\/p>\n

She acknowledges she probably should have checked the display model. But she also said she\u2019d told him repeatedly how much she loved the phone, how much she loved the color and thought he should have mentioned it was a different shade.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m overestimating a man,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

Then, wrapping up, the employee started walking her through the new phone\u2019s…<\/p>\n
