It’s been a while since we last heard about T-Mobile’s T-Satellite service. Although it might not be the most popular feature the carrier offers, it’s nice knowing there’s a safety net for communication available when needed. With that said, we’re getting news that the coverage is now expanding, with T-Mobile customers getting satellite coverage while in Canada and New Zealand thanks to support from carriers Rogers and One NZ. <\/p>\n

The news comes from the Mobile Internet Resource Center sharing that Rogers in Canada and One NZ in New Zealand will be providing support for T-Mobile’s satellite service in their respective regions (via Android Authority). The news outlet also reports that Rogers and One NZ customers visiting the US will also gain satellite coverage as well.<\/p>\n

This reciprocal service will be supported by T-Mobile’s network while travelers from abroad are in the US. It’s probably a feature you don’t use every day, but T-Mobile’s satellite coverage is something good to have if you’re ever in an area that has less-than-ideal coverage. Plus, if you’re in the US, you can access popular apps to stay connected beyond standard texts. <\/p>\n

Perhaps one of the more notable upgrades of the service includes being able to connect to X, WhatsApp, and other services without a traditional cellular data connection. Again, this is all going to be depend on your…<\/p>\n
