(WIBW) &#8211; The City of Topeka announced a new initiative to increase access to technology and help close the digital gap for residents on Monday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The City launched its latest TSC Get Digital campaign, a broader effort to ensure access to devices, internet services, and digital literacy training. All things, the City says, are key components to allow residents to participate in an increasingly connected world. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAccess to technology is no longer a luxury; it is essential for education, employment, healthcare, and staying connected,\u201d said Monique Glaude\u02ca, Director of the Office of Inclusive Communities. \u201cWorking to close the digital divide ensures that all of our neighbors have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of income or circumstance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The program focuses on supporting low-to-moderate income households and those participating in assistance programs or meeting income eligibility guidelines. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Residents must be 18 or older and reside in Topeka to be eligible for the program. They must also meet income or program participation requirements like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, or similar qualifications. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Devices will be given on a first-come, first-served basis. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Applicants must provide required documentation and attend a scheduled pickup appointment. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Residents who have previously received a device through the Get Digital campaign do not qualify for another device.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Anyone interested in applying can visit www.surveymonkey.com\/r\/HQPCKHQ. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Applicants will receive information on next steps, such as approval status and device pickup details, from the City of Topeka\u2019s Office of Inclusive Communities. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">For questions or additional information, residents may contact the Office of Inclusive Communities at oic@topeka.org or 785-368-3098<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
