At the same time, the company is also quietly working on its next major software update \u2014 Android 17-based One UI 9. According to early reports, Samsung could officially debut the stable version around late July. This post lists out all the devices that have appeared with One UI 9 test builds so far. <strong>Last updated on May 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Samsung expands One UI 9 internal testing<\/h2>\n<p>While One UI 8.5 remains Samsung\u2019s immediate priority, internal testing for One UI 9 has already begun for several Galaxy devices. The beta program could begin around June or July. It will likely start with the Galaxy S26 series before Samsung introduces the stable release alongside its next-generation foldables. This will happen as Samsung moves closer to the official rollout timeline.<\/p>\n<p>As for changes, One UI 9 is not expected to be a massive overhaul like recent versions. Instead, Samsung seems focused on refining the software further with better readability, smoother animations, cleaner layouts, and a more simplified overall experience. That said, the update could introduce a few new features like Tap to Share.
