It&#8217;s happening for the second time, and my repair guy quoted me $260 to fix it.<\/p>\n<p>It felt pointless to throw money at a recurring problem, especially when it&#8217;s because of Apple&#8217;s design flaw. So I opted for a new 2020 model with the M1 chip.<\/p>\n<p>While I waited for it to ship, I tried to make a secondary monitor out of my other devices. First, I used the Samsung DeX mode on my Rayneo Air 3s Pro smart glass series.<\/p>\n<p>Then I tried my Meta Quest 3S. I couldn&#8217;t use the headset&#8217;s Remote Desktop because of my blank screen, but its browser app was all I needed to resume my workflow.<\/p>\n<p>I discovered a whole world beyond my own where I could do and be anything.
