OpenAI\u00a0models are now available in limited preview through\u00a0Amazon Bedrock, a platform for building generative artificial intelligence (AI) applications and agents.<\/p>\n

As of Tuesday (April 28), Amazon Bedrock offers the latest OpenAI models, OpenAI\u2019s\u00a0Codex\u00a0coding agent, and a new experience called\u00a0Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents, powered by OpenAI, that is designed for building production-ready AI agents with OpenAI frontier models on\u00a0Amazon Web Services\u00a0(AWS), AWS said in a Tuesday\u00a0press release.<\/p>\n

These new offerings bring together OpenAI products and AWS infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnterprises want to build with the most capable AI models and agents available,\u201d AWS said in the release. \u201cThey also need the security posture, operational maturity and data governance that production workloads demand. Starting today, we are bringing those together with three new offerings, all in limited preview.\u201d<\/p>\n

In its own\u00a0announcement\u00a0that these products are available on Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI said that the models include its best frontier model GPT-5.5 and that the availability on AWS will enable customers to use the services, security controls, identity\u00a0systems\u00a0and procurement processes they already have in place.<\/p>\n

This will allow developers more flexibility in how they build with OpenAI and provide enterprises with a single path from experimentation to production, the company said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur strategic partnership with Amazon is focused on helping organizations deploy advanced AI at production scale,\u201d OpenAI said in its announcement. \u201cWith OpenAI models, Codex and Managed Agents now coming to Amazon Bedrock, customers have a faster, more secure path to putting AI to work across their business.\u201d<\/p>\n

These announcements came a day after it was reported that OpenAI forged a new revenue and technology agreement with partner\/AI competitor\u00a0Microsoft that allows OpenAI to serve all its products to customers of any cloud provider.<\/p>\n
