Android XR glasses are all on the table for the upcoming year, but Samsung\u2019s initially expected lineup is reportedly growing by one more device.<\/p>\n

New evidence of another pair of Android XR smart glasses has appeared in Samsung\u2019s One UI 9 code (via Android Authority). The code makes mention of a model codenamed \u201cHaean.\u201d That appears next to two other model names, which may end up releasing as variants of the same model.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s hard to say for certain that Samsung plans to launch several separate sets of Android XR glasses. Considering smart glasses come in varying shapes and sizes anyway, the models mentioned in Samsung\u2019s code may end up being different designs based on very similar hardware.<\/p>\n

The \u201cHaean\u201d codename makes its second appearance in the latest find. It was originally expected to be released with Samsung\u2019s Galaxy XR headset as another option with a built-in display, but was seemingly dropped before launch. It\u2019s likely Samsung chose to push the XR glasses further while the technology gets refined.<\/p>\n

Previous statements from Samsung confirm that at least one pair of smart glasses will carry an AI-powered camera, though there\u2019s been little confirmation of a display embedded in one or both lenses. Google has previously shown that displays are nearly ready, so it\u2019s possible that this third model makes that an option for users.<\/p>\n

The report also notes that One UI\u2019s code references Bluetooth menu appearances and compatibility with Samsung\u2019s Find app. We expect it to work with Google\u2019s Find My Device network as well, considering it is expected to run on Android XR. The Galaxy XR headset abides by the same standards.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no word on when these glasses will be announced, but their appearance in One UI 9 suggests a release this year.<\/p>\n
