Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman caused jaws to drop online after sharing spectacular footage of the Earth and moon \u2014 which he captured on his iPhone.<\/p>\n

A dreamy-looking X video of the clip, which boasts over 12 million views, shows the Earth setting behind its rocky satellite, demonstrating the uniqueness of Artemis II\u2019s vantage point.<\/p>\n

\u201cWould you look at that, man?\u201d Wiseman exclaimed in the clip.<\/p>\n

Retired astronaut Chris Hadfield dubbed the footage (above) the \u201ccoolest video ever taken with an iPhone.\u201d X \/ @astro_reid<\/span><\/p>\n

In the caption, the spaceman wrote that he had \u201conly one chance in this lifetime\u201d to get a shot like that. <\/p>\n

\u201cI couldn\u2019t resist a cell phone video of Earthset,\u201d said Wiseman, who compared the moment to \u201cwatching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI could barely see the moon through the docking hatch window,\u201d Wiseman explained, \u201cbut the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeeing an iPhone recording of the moon really humanizes the whole experience,\u201d said another fan, with one observer noting that it was the \u201cfarthest a consumer smartphone has ever been from Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trip was the farthest an iPhone has ever traveled. X \/ @astro_reid<\/span><\/p>\n
