Zara Larsson<\/strong> is sharing her thoughts on the music industry in a very open and honest interview.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old \u201cMidnight Sun\u201d singer chatted with The Guardian about the upcoming deluxe edition of her Midnight Sun album, which will feature all-women guest stars. <\/p>\n

Zara<\/strong> said that her record label \u201cwant me to release a new song before it drops to tease it. And I\u2019m like: it ruins the project and the specific rollout that I have planned.\u201d <\/p>\n

While talking about her label\u2019s plans, Zara<\/strong> threw some shade at Taylor Swift<\/strong> and her fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlaying the chart game is so dead to me. No one\u2019s looking at the charts but industry people and maybe Taylor Swift <\/strong>fans,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

One singer who she has a lot of respect for is Chappell Roan<\/strong> and Zara<\/strong> spoke out to defend the Grammy winner amid her pleas for privacy. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe more people hate her, the more I love her,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t like how she\u2019s being treated at all. When a woman has boundaries, I think people freak out. Men can do violent criminal things and people applaud them, but when a woman says, \u2018Stop following me,\u2019 it\u2019s controversial? It\u2019s like: you guys just hate women, actually.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut I kind of thrive on attention in all forms,\u201d she added. \u201cWhen I was younger, I was like: \u2018Oh, I can\u2019t wait till I have paparazzi outside my house.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n

Zara<\/strong> said that she relates with Addison Rae<\/strong> because they both have turned attention into an art. She said, \u201cI think we both realise that life is a performance.\u201d<\/p>\n
