Apple has discontinued its high-end Mac Pro desktop after a two-decade run.<\/p>\n

The computer, which was aimed at serving video editors and other professional techies, was quietly removed from Apple\u2019s website, Bloomberg reported. The device had been priced at $6,999.<\/p>\n

The end of Mac Pro\u2019s run was not entirely unexpected. Apple hadn\u2019t released a new version of the computer since 2003. Instead, the tech giant, led by CEO Tim Cook, shifted focus to the smaller Mac Studio, which received an upgraded chip in a new model released last year.<\/p>\n

Apple has no plans to offer future updates for the Mac Pro model, a company spokesperson told the Apple-focused blog 9to5Mac.<\/p>\n

The powerful computer was not a big draw for Apple and the company has been selling through the remaining inventory in its physical stores, according to Bloomberg.<\/p>\n
