These devices are designed to help physicians navigate the complex structure of cerebral blood vessels and reach treatment sites more efficiently during minimally invasive procedures.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linnea Burman, Senior Vice President and President of Medtronic&#8217;s Neurovascular business, stated, \u201cMedtronic is thrilled to acquire Scientia to accelerate meaningful innovation in neurovascular care.\u201d She added that combining the companies\u2019 technologies will support procedures addressing both hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CEO of Scientia, Rick Randall, noted, \u201cScientia has developed critical technology that has been embraced by physicians,\u201d adding that the transaction will help extend its engineering capabilities to more markets through Medtronic\u2019s scale. The deal is expected to close in the first half of Medtronic\u2019s fiscal year 2027, pending regulatory approvals and other customary conditions.
