We\u2019ve been chasing it since Motorola\u2019s Atrix attempted (and flopped) at turning a dual-core phone into a laptop in 2011.<\/p>\n<p>The pitch is that your phone is already a powerful computer, so why carry anything else? Plug it into a monitor, and you have a workstation ready to go.<\/p>\n<p>When Google finally released the stable Desktop Mode in March 2026, I thought we had made it.
