Google\u2019s launch of Gemini on Android Auto has been oddly messy, with the \u201cgradual\u201d rollout having started around four months ago at this point and, still, a bunch of users saying they\u2019re missing the feature. So, do you have it?<\/p>\n

Gemini for Android Auto was announced to have started rolling out back in November 2025. Google was pretty up front about the timeline, though, saying it would arrive \u201cover the coming months.\u201d But no one really thought it would take this long.<\/p>\n

We last polled 9to5Google readers about Gemini on Android Auto back in January, and the overwhelming response was that hardly anyone actually had it yet.<\/p>\n

That seems to be the going pattern even now as we near April.<\/p>\n

A Reddit thread reignited this conversation, with a number of Android Auto users reporting that they still lack Gemini support in their cars. This comes from users in a variety of different regions, including the US and as far away as Australia. There seems to be no rhyme or reason at this point to who does have Gemini and who is still lacking it. This isn\u2019t the first time we\u2019ve seen a number of users lacking Gemini support, as the situation can be seen frequently across Reddit threads and posts on Google\u2019s forums.<\/p>\n

The \u201cwhy\u201d is unclear, though Gemini on Android Auto wasn\u2019t exactly the most well-received update.<\/p>\n
