OpenAI told the network the speed of the launch was intentional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe\u2019re in the early testing phase of ads in ChatGPT, and the goal right now is to learn and refine the experience for consumers before expanding it more broadly,\u201d the company said. \u201cWe\u2019re encouraged by early signals from users and participating brands, and continue to see strong interest from advertisers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">OpenAI announced\u00a0plans to bring ads\u00a0to ChatGPT in January, part of an effort to seek out new sources of revenue as use of ChatGPT has jumped.
