Multiple states have already enacted rules to guide AI use and development, with some fearing a patchwork approach in which 50 states apply rules that could stifle AI development and its potential benefits.<\/p>\n<p>The AI policy seeks to address six \u201ckey objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protecting Children and Empowering Parents<\/li>\n<li>Safeguarding and Strengthening American Communities<\/li>\n<li>Respecting Intellectual Property Rights and Supporting Creators<\/li>\n<li>Preventing Censorship and Protecting Free Speech<\/li>\n<li>Enabling Innovation and Ensuring American AI Dominance<\/li>\n<li>Educating Americans and Developing an AI-Ready Workforce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The White House added:<\/p>\n<p>The Trump Admin is all-in on WINNING the AI race\u2014for American prosperity, security, &#038; a new era of human flourishing. Achieving these goals demands a commonsense national policy framework: unleashing American industry to thrive, while ensuring ALL Americans benefit.<\/p>\n<p>White House AI Czar <strong>David Sacks<\/strong> said they look forward to turning the principles into legislation.<\/p>\n<p>While a broad outline with many details to be filled in, it is a starting point for the White House to work with Congress to get legislation signed into law.<\/p>\n<p>House leadership, led by Speaker <strong>Mike Johnson<\/strong>, posted a comment in support of the framework:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\u201cAI has begun to demonstrate its potential to improve Americans\u2019 lives. To ensure we continue to harness its potential and beat China in the global AI race, Congress must take action.
