Following a near six-year hiatus, Fortnite for Android is officially returning to the Google Play Store later this week following the conclusion of the long-running Google vs Epic Games court case.<\/p>\n

In a post on Twitter\/X as well as a video posted to YouTube, Epic Games says that \u201cFortnite is back on Google Play\u201d as of March 19, 2026. That\u2019s this coming Thursday. <\/p>\n

But, Fortnite first reappeared in the Play Store all the way back in December, didn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear exactly what Epic is saying here, but it sounds like perhaps Fortnite\u2019s previous return to Google Play in December wasn\u2019t \u201ceverywhere,\u201d and that\u2019s what\u2019s changing this week. As it stands today, at least in the US, you can go download Fortnite from the Play Store right now. But if you can\u2019t, that should change in a few days.<\/p>\n
