\n\t\t\t\t\t\tPolice say that a 9-year-old girl who was previously reported missing on Friday evening was found dead in a pond in Northern Kentucky.The announcement came from Sgt. Anthony Theetge of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday night.According to Theetge, the body of 9-year-old Jenny Dim was found in a pond near her home at around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. This came after an extensive search that lasted over 24 hours that had previously been conducted for her across Northern Kentucky.Before her body was located, Dim was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on Friday, walking on Macintosh Lane in Florence in the direction of Afton Drive. Police said Dim was last seen wearing a mint-colored jacket, pink headphones and no shoes. The alert for Jenny said she was 4-feet, 4 inches tall and weighed about 53 pounds.Investigators said Dim was nonverbal.Officers and volunteers had been searching throughout Friday night and most of Saturday, with police urging neighbors to check both their security cameras and around their homes for any clues to Jenny’s whereabouts. On Saturday morning, Theetge emphasized the importance of community involvement in the search. “We are going to be relying on the people who not only know the community but they know their own lay of the land,” Theetge said. “They know their own property. I know last night I harped on getting into your cars, checking your cars, checking your truck beds, cars that you feel have sat for a while and that you didn’t really feel were warm and a safe place. Check them anyway. Check your sheds, check under your decks. If there is a little bit of a culvert under your front porch check that for us, we are asking you to look anywhere and everywhere that a young child may have looked to get some kind of shelter and safety.” An Ian Alert had previously been issued for Dim before she was found.
