People in need of extra income are reportedly strapping phones to their heads and recording themselves doing housework in order to teach artificial intelligence how to move and behave like humans.<\/p>\n

They\u2019re teaching robots the ropes.<\/p>\n

Angelenos in need of a quick buck are signing up for a futuristic side hustle \u2014\u00a0where humans get paid to help artificial intelligence understand the art of our everyday movements.<\/p>\n

Call it poaching coaching.<\/p>\n

As advancements in AI technologies continue to encroach on the human experience \u2014 from\u00a0outpacing us at work\u00a0to\u00a0co-parenting our kids\u00a0\u2014\u00a0\u00a0natural born people are in danger of\u00a0becoming totally replaceable\u00a0with every passing moment.<\/p>\n

But that can\u2019t happen without our help, apparently \u2014\u00a0and now cash-strapped Californians hungry for the extra income are reportedly schooling the systems on the how-tos of mankind.<\/p>\n

Instawork, a San Francisco-based recruitment firm, is behind the push \u2014\u00a0willing subjects wear headbands with phone mounts, on which they\u2019re able to secure cellular devices or cameras, and record themselves doing housework and other menial tasks.<\/p>\n

The data is then used to train AI on how to act.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to do chores anyway,\u201d Salvador Arciga, a part-time bot tutor, told the Los Angeles Times.\u00a0\u201cNow I get a chance to get paid to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The piece-of-cake post can pay up to $80 for two hours of footage.<\/p>\n
