Elastic OSC is the latest Synthesizer app from developer Oliver Greschke that takes the Mutable Instruments algorithms on a wild, modulating trip.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good news for everyone who doesn\u2019t have an iOS device but still wants to play with synthesizers. Oliver Greschke\u2019s fantastic app Elastic OSC is now available as a public beta for Android. It\u2019s also available for a bargain price of 2,39\u20ac.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As with the iOS version, the new LFO and MPE support are available as in-app purchases.\u00a0 However, Android lacks any possible integration with other apps. The Android OS isn\u2019t as advanced as iOS in this respect. So there\u2019s no plugin support, no inter-app audio, etc.<\/p>\n

Elastic OSC, the Synthesizer app that lets you take Mutable Instruments Plaits on a wild ride, is growing once again.<\/p>\n

Oliver Greschke from Elastic Instruments has just released update 1.2, which supercharges the app with additional modulation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Update 1.2<\/h3>\n

Elastic OSC 1.2 is available now as a free update for existing users. The new update introduces a new, powerful way to modulate parameters.<\/p>\n

Alongside the super fun parameter automation, you can now with LFOs. The update ships with a single LFO,<\/strong> but you can unlock three additional LFOs<\/strong> via an in-app purchase of $3,99<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Each LFO offers four adjustable parameters: frequency, shape, fade-in time, and phase. Two of these: frequency and shape, are available on the XY pad that you can also record like the others.<\/p>\n

This elevates the traditional LFO to a different level, as automation makes it more complex. Additionally, you can sync it to the global tempo.<\/p>\n

Elastic OSC is a highly dynamic app where many things happen simultaneously. To ensure the LFO finds its place in this systematic, inspiring chaos, there are three hi-trigger modes: retrigger, one-shot, and free.<\/p>\n

You map the LFO to six possible modulation targets with dedicated amount levels: frequency, timbre, morph, harmonics, filter, and…<\/p>\n
