Apple\u2019s <\/strong>foldable<\/strong> iPhone<\/strong> will reportedly swap Face ID for another beloved feature. The makers have reportedly made this call keeping in mind the new foldable iPhone\u2019s lean build and design. The American tech giant will reportedly rely on a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the side button.<\/p>\n

Apple foldable iPhone might not include the face ID feature<\/h2>\n

As per Bloomberg\u2019s Mark Gurman, Apple\u2019s new foldable iPhone will reportedly skip Face ID and instead opt for Touch ID. The fingerprint sensor will be built into the side button, which will identify the user\u2019s unique fingerprint and enable the phone\u2019s features.<\/p>\n

Gurman explained that the foldable phone\u2019s front panel is \u201ctoo thin to accommodate the Face ID sensor array.\u201d The design also allows the new foldable phone to maintain its lean build without compromising the user\u2019s biometric security.<\/p>\n

To explain in better detail, instead of Face ID sensors and a front-facing camera, the foldable phone is expected to feature a small hole-punch camera. The Touch ID will reportedly be integrated into the device\u2019s side button, similar to the brand\u2019s other devices, such as iPads.<\/p>\n

However, Gurman assured users that the foldable phone will certainly not skip Apple\u2019s Dynamic Island feature, which showcases real-time alerts and activities. For a more vivid description, the report also states that the device could resemble \u201ctwo iPhone Airs stuck together,\u201d similar to the iPhone Air released in September 2025.<\/p>\n

According to Gurman, users are in for more treats as the device will boast a more robust interface and an iPad-style layout. Users can run multiple apps side by side seamlessly. Moreover, the American tech giant is reportedly updating its \u201ccore\u201d apps with a sidebar on the left side of the screen.<\/p>\n
