According to the publication\u2019s estimates, there are at least 86 billionaires worldwide who built their wealth on AI models, infrastructure, and services.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Their combined wealth is estimated at $2.9 trillion.<\/p>\n<p>The richest newcomer to the list was Surge AI founder Edwin Chen. Rounding out the top three is Daniel Nadler, founder of OpenEvidence, which is developing an AI-powered search tool for doctors.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wealth Built on AI Models and Infrastructure<\/h2>\n<p>Some new billionaires emerged thanks to companies building foundational artificial intelligence models.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Among them:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Z.ai co-founders Liu Debin and Tang Jie<\/li>\n<li>MiniMax founder Yan Junjie<\/li>\n<li>the creators of French startup Mistral AI \u2014 Timoth\u00e9e Lacroix, Guillaume Lample, and Arthur Mensch\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The creators of voice platform ElevenLabs, Piotr Dabkowski and Mati Staniszewski, also became billionaires.<\/p>\n<p>Infrastructure-layer companies played a major role in the emergence of a new class of wealthy AI entrepreneurs.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In particular, fortunes grew for developers tied to data centers and the hardware that powers them.
