Electreon has successfully acquired InductEV, combining the wireless EV charging company with the US-based provider of ultra-fast, high-power, stationary wireless charging for heavy-duty transit and freight.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The transaction announced yesterday (10 March) creates, the companies say, the industry’s \u201cmost comprehensive wireless charging portfolio\u201d, spanning passenger vehicles, light delivery vans, and heavy-duty Class 8 trucks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The acquisition integrates InductEV’s assets and intellectual property with Electreon’s proven dynamic charging technology, offering fleet operators a single, end-to-end platform for all EV use cases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In doing so, this aims to address the growing demand for wireless charging solutions, as demonstrated by recent initiatives including <\/span>Florida’s trial of wireless EV charging highway technology<\/span> and <\/span>Transport for London’s launch of rapid wireless bus charging technology<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The combined entity now provides charging solutions across three distinct operational scenarios: in-road dynamic charging while driving, opportunistic charging during planned stops on routes, and overnight charging in depots and parking facilities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the companies, this eliminates the need for conductive charging solutions, including cables, trolleys, or pantographs, with Electreon offering what it describes as superior, replaceable inductive alternatives for each application.<\/span><\/p>\n

Comprehensive technology portfolio<\/span><\/h2>\n

The integrated product suite encompasses four distinct charging solutions designed to cover the entire operational spectrum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The LINE system provides dynamic charging for vehicles at high speeds on highways and urban corridors. At the same time, DASH offers semi-dynamic, high-power burst charging at stop-and-go locations such as taxi queues, bus stops, and traffic lights.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
