The early results suggest that the entry model of the iPhone 17 lineup still delivers strong performance gains compared with the previous generation.

The iPhone 17e uses Apple’s A19 chip with a 6-core CPU, a 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine. Based on multiple early tests, the chip delivers an average single-core score of around 3,320 and an average multi-core score of about 8,373. These numbers place the device slightly ahead of the iPhone 16e and very close to the standard iPhone 17 in raw CPU performance.

According to benchmark results listed on Geekbench, the database currently shows more than ten tests attributed to the iPhone 17e. Across these results, single-core scores range from 3,001 to 3,607, while multi-core scores vary from 6,657 to 9,241. Variations like these are common in early tests, so final retail performance may differ slightly once the device ships.

A19 performance compared

When you look at the average scores, the iPhone 17e’s A19 chip performs slightly better than the A18 chip used in the iPhone 16e and even edges past the standard iPhone 16 in multi-core tests. However, the phone includes a 4-core GPU instead of the 5-core GPU found in the regular iPhone 17, which results in somewhat lower graphics scores.

Early Metal benchmark results fall between roughly 30,800 and 31,600, averaging around 31,163. That performance still beats several previous models.

iPhone Model

Multi-Core CPU Score

iPhone 17 Pro (A19 Pro)

9,805

iPhone 17 (A19)

9,249

iPhone 17e (A19)

9,241

iPhone 16 Pro (A18 Pro)

8,625

iPhone 16e (A18)

7,977

iPhone 15 Pro (A17 Pro)

7,199

The iPhone 17e keeps the same overall design as the iPhone 16e but adds several upgrades, including the A19 chip, MagSafe support, Apple’s second-generation C1X modem for…

Source

First iPhone 17e A19 Benchmarks Hint at Strong CPU Performance https://www.macobserver.com/news/first-iphone-17e-a19-benchmarks-hint-at-strong-cpu-performance/ Publish Date: 2026-03-06 20:15:00…

https://www.macobserver.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/iPhone-17e-C1X-Modem-Matches-iPhone-Air-Speeds.png
[120
74,124,80
post-220807","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-iphone","tag-iphone-15","tag-iphone-16","tag-iphone-17
