It is also designed to help drone operators understand the cybersecurity risks that could affect aviation safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Advisory Circular (AC) 21-57 \u2013 Airworthiness cybersecurity of remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> focuses on safety-critical aircraft subsystems, ground systems, command and control (C2) links and supporting infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AC includes security concepts, threat categorisation and a practical risk assessment process. There is an appendix with example threats and mitigations across common functional elements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The AC does not introduce new regulatory requirements.
