Whether you\u2019ve got an Android TV or Google TV streaming device, the home screen is something you see a lot. That\u2019s exactly why it\u2019s stuffed with recommendations and ads. I got tired of all the junk and cleaned things up with a free launcher.<\/p>\n

Google TV is the biggest offender, but the Android TV home screen isn\u2019t as clean as it used to be, either. There are tabs for “Live” and “Shop” at the top of the screen, a rotating carousel of recommended content, and a row of buttons for \u201cFree Live TV,\u201d \u201cTop Selling Movies,\u201d \u201cTrending on Google,\u201d etc. The only rows of content that can be customized are underneath all that. We can do better.<\/p>\n

Everyone knows you can replace the default home screen on Android phones and tablets with a wide variety of third-party options. Lawnchair and Niagara are a couple of popular launchers. This same concept applies to Android TV (and Google TV) as well. There aren\u2019t as many to choose from, but there\u2019s one that I really like.<\/p>\n
